You may be wondering about Mama & Papa Bird and their eggs. Each day, I would take time to remember to look at the nest and view its progress, until one day when I discovered the nest had been damaged and Mama & Papa were gone. Most likely the damage occurred when someone was using a large stick to force an orange off the tree. Either unintentionally or intentionally, the nest suffered fatal damage. It made my heart sad. That little nest had offered some hope in the midst of the coronavirus upheaval.
It seems that there are many times that our hearts are made sad when we place our hope on things other than Christ. It was again a reminder that in times like these our only real hope is Jesus. I find reminders and hope in some of the ol' time hymns that I love to sing throughout the day to lift my spirits. One of the songs that was brought to mind was this one, written by George Beverly Shea (a dear friend of Billy Graham)....
IN TIMES LIKE THESE
In times like these you need a Savior
In times like these you need an anchor
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock.

R E F R A I N
This rock is Jesus, Yes! He’s the One
This rock is Jesus, the only One
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock.
In times like these you need the Bible
In times like these, O be not idle
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock. R E F R A I N
In times like these I have a Savior
In times like these I have an anchor
I’m very sure, I’m very sure
My anchor holds and grips the solid rock! R E F R A I N
I pray that for you too, that in times like these ... Jesus is your Savior, your Anchor, your Solid Rock!
